PRESENTS
The Army High Performance Computing Research Center and the
Major Shared Resource Center Programming Environment and Training at
Clark Atlanta University is recruiting
students for the Undergraduate Summer Institute on the application of high performance
computing (HPC) to science and engineering. Clark Atlanta University is hosting this year’s
undergraduate students for studies in technology areas dependent upon HPC. The objective of
the Institute is to prepare undergraduate students for studies in technology areas dependent
upon HPC.
The workshop will cover all the preliminaries necessary for students to actively participate in
the Summer Institute at Minnesota. Instructors from the
University of Minnesota and Clark
Atlanta University will provide lectures and hands-on computer experience to the participants,
including programming, scientific computing, and graphics and visualization methods.
This program is intended for undergraduates who anticipate graduating in Spring 1999 or later.
Participants receive a stipend of $500, travel reimbursement, campus housing and meals.

- Registration Deadline - February 16, 1997
- Notification of Acceptance Sent - March 16
- Arrival and Orientation - May 26
- Workshop - May 26-May 30, June1-June 5
- Awards Ceremony - June 6
